Each fall, the
PCDFC accepts grant applications for programming in the following year.
Grant monies are typically distributed to grant recipients in February.
Any individual,
group, or organization may submit an application for a new or existing
initiative serving Pulaski County in 2008. The PCDFC will award grants
for the funding of initiatives that address one or more of the following
four areas:

Prevention/Education/Community Awareness - Programs activities,
services, or materials aimed at deterring individuals from the
use or abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and/or other drugs.

Treatment - Services
for those in need of recovery due to the use of alcohol,
tobacco, or other drugs.

Intervention -
Services associated with excessive or inappropriate use of
alcohol and/or other drugs such as identification, intervention,
referral and assessment, and continuation of treatment.

Justice/Law
Enforcement - Efforts that deal with the legal consequences of
substance abuse including local crime prevention, law
enforcement, prosecution, probation and/or court and
correctional services.
